For this index, we considered several variables to include: solicited and unsolicited feedback, rounds led, value of rounds led, and the overall performance of the brand(s) on the receiving end of the investments. We discussed social media presence (Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram) and the prestige of the firm that the VC invests on behalf of. We even took into account the earned media driven by an investor’s involvement with the brand. But most importantly, we listened to founders.
